Who are you? Why should I send you money?

JAMES WATKINS

I'm an ordained journalist (no, that's not an oxymoron) with an undergrad degree in theology and gradutate work in communications. (For more than you'd ever want to know about me, click here.)

My passion (and mission statement) is to communicate the message of Jesus Christ in as effective and creative manner as possible with as many people as possible.

I'm committed to fulfilling that mission statement through online articles and book excerpts, ministry resources, public speaking and online resources. (See links on the right.)

How is that working for you?

Here are some unsolicited testimonials of how jameswatkins.com has affected lives:

. . . a resourceful, entertaining, and thought-provoking site for the entire family! The Internet For Christians

Your article [on suicide] has saved my life tonight and showing me a path toward hope. I have very little words to say, still in severe pain from the death of my boyfriend six months ago. But, I felt a need to say thank you. A

The more I read your stuff... the more I like ya!! You really write with joy. It shows a winsome seriousness in dedication to Christ. Charlie Jones of Peculiar People

Thought I'd choke on 'Top Ten Reasons I'm Not Divorcing My Wife.' Your transparency is inspiring, your humor refreshing, and your writing is just plain great. Nate Larkin, author of Samson and the Pirate Monks

Engaging and entertaining writing style. Jim’s signature humor and energy are just two reasons you’ll want to bookmark this page. Kathy Widenhouse of Professional Copywriting Services

I'm truly thankful for you and your writing, Jim. No one I know but you has the ability to be so culturally relevant, intellectually stimulating and downright funny. You're a triple threat! David Drury

Your message is scriptural and solid, and your writing is refreshingly GREAT. Not a common thing to find in Christian writing for some reason. Thank you for your ministry! I'm, as of this morning, a sincere and devoted fan!

The expansive and thorough views you have on every subject are incredibly insightful yet humble in a very Christ-like manner. You give your opinion on the topics, while yet providing a field in which to formulate my own personal ideas based on the facts that are given. In a nutshell, Jesus is written all over this website. The dynamic Christian stance of unconditional love is actually felt within the text of these pages. I, myself, consider this site to be a stepping stone in my personal spiritual walk. Andrew

I appreciate your faithfulness to the Lord and your friendship when you attend the Mount Herman Christian Writers Seminar. I have much to learn from you--you keep me centered with just the right touch of humor so I don't take myself too seriously. Pamela

I found your site needing some answers, today I lost my uncle who I loved very much. He was only fifty and his death was totally unexpected. I feel as if I have become emotionally drained and overwhelmed with sadness. However I would like you to know that your site brought me some relief, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Melody

Jim Watkins is the coolest, hippest old guy I know. Stevan Sheets

God bless your ministry, your website (which I am telling everyone about, especially our student ministers), and your books. Laurie
