Welcome to the second annual, totally subjective and slightly biased look at the past year at jameswatkins!com.
Fierce fighting and numerous casualties topped the news in 2004. And that was just the U.S. Presidential election. While the war in Iraq was arguably the number one news story throughout the year, it was knocked off the front page with the Christmas Day tsunami that took an incomprehensible number of lives. Suddenly Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' and Britney Spears' two marriage were non-news.
