Rice finds power in the blood

Best-selling author Anne Rice has spent twenty-five years writing about
vampires, witches, and under her pen name, A. N. Roquelaure, sado-masochistic sex.
So it's a truly supernatural transformation that her next book is
Christ the Lord:
Out of Egypt. After losing her husband to a brain tumor and almost dying herself in two life-threatening illnesses, the queen of cultism, writes
in the afterword, "I was in despair." She calls Christ "the ultimate supernatural hero . . .
the ultimate immortal of them all." After returning to her Catholic roots, she writes,
"I promised that from now on I would write only for the Lord."
