Monday NASA announced its 104-billion-dollar plan to send a mission to the moon. That's in preparation for an estimated 500-trillion-dollar trip to Mars. Until the life-and-death needs here on earth are met, it seems immoral to be sending money into space.

Friend and fellow trouble-maker Keith Drury recently ran a variety of Jesus portraits—everything from Fabio-style looks and flowing hair to, well, it looks like "Joe Boxer" goes "Jesus Boxer." Okay, it's a bit more accurate than the frail, anemic Jesus from ancient artists, but I'm not sure how "turn the other cheek" fits with this portrait.
