Sunday (08.21)
a repugnant clause
and cause?

U.S. President Bush's dream for a free and democratic Iraq may turn into a greater nightmare than 1,800+ American soldiers and 25,000+ Iraqi civilians
killed.
Iraq's provisional
parliament is considering a constitution, based on Islamic law (Shariah) with a "repugnancy clause"
that
says no law can "contradict Islam." (This could make Iraq a theocracy, not a free democracy.) To think the
U.S. government has shed so much American and Iraqi blood to put into power
a government based on beliefs that often inspire shedding of American and Iraqi bloodnow that's "repugnant."
