about moi

All that's really important to know is that I love God, my family, writing, speaking, and Chinese food—in that order.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD'S

Saturday (08.13)
'superhero for choice' kills 'prolife' demonstrators

Following public outrage, Planned Parenthood has pulled its tax-payer-funded cartoon featuring Dianysis "A Superhero for Choice" who drowns an abstinence spokesman and blows up pro-life demonstrators outside an abortion clinic.
Thanks to Dawn Eden for exposing this latest example of PP's hypocrisy and lies

Friday (08.12)
'Cost in Space'

NASA is set to launch $720 million tax-payers dollars into space. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will orbit the red planet in preparation for a manned mission. Wednesday, President Bush signed a highway bill which includes $231 million for a bridge to serve an Alaskan island populated by fifty (that's 5-0) people! I can think of a lot better uses for nearly $100 million.

METH BEFORE AND AFTER

Thursday (08.11)
'crank' heads and head colds

Meth is certainly a dangerous drug (see before and after pics), but why target law-abiding cold sufferers? Read the shocking confession of my drug trafficking:

Wednesday (08.10)
the 'empty nest' syndrome

Many parents are sending their children (excuse me, young adults) off to the first year of college this summer. Having been through the trauma twice . . .

Tuesday (08.09)
sex is like duct tape

I love this analogy! In
Ask Me Anything: Provocative Answers for College Students, University of Texas professor J. Budziszewski claims sexuality is like duct tape. The first time you use it, it creates a bond to whomever it touches. However, the more you rip it off and try to re-stick it to someone else, the less sticky it becomes. Budziszewski writes, "You just don't stick anymore, your sexual partners seem like strangers, and you stop feeling anything."

SCHOOL BUS AT PORN SHOP

Monday (08.08)

Sunday (08.07 11 pm EST)
broadcasting career up in smoke

The untimely death of long-time TV anchor Peter Jennings to lung cancer is a newsworthy reminder of the dangers of smoking. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and colleagues.

Sunday (08.07)
strong words = weak argument

Here's my theory: the stronger the words, the weaker the argument. Case in point was Friday's PBS's piece on intelligent design. Evolution spokesperson and physicist, Lawrence Krauss, called intelligent design, and I quote, "really irrelevant," "just ridiculous," "a marginal notion," that's "ludicrous." Meanwhile intelligent design advocate and microbiologist, Michael Behe, didn't resort to name calling but calmly made the case that the "simple cell" is far too complex to have evolved all by itself.
