Friday/Saturday (06.03/04)

We laughed, we cried, we were moved . . .

(Thanks for your prayers for a safe—and sane—move!)

'Extreme Makeover: Home [Office] Edition'

I've always wanted an office in the woods, but that didn't happen, so I've created a woods in the office. (
Click for larger pic. I hope Ty approves.) But more than my new office, this world could use an extreme makeover!

Top ten things I’ll miss about LaOtto, Indiana

There are some real advantages to living in a town where the tallest building is the grain elevator. Here are ten of them. (Now, I really need to get back to packing.)

Tuesday (05.31)
will Michael Jackson 'moonwalk' out of court?

Jury deliberations could start this week in the molestation/kidnapping trial against "The King of Pop." Will he "Beat It" or be proven "Bad"?

- He may be "freakish," but is Jackson felonious?

Monday (05.30)
we'll never have to say 'goodbye' again . . .

What an emotional day! After sixteen years of serving at LaOtto Wesleyan Church, Lois and I shared our last service there yesterday. Starting this week, I'll be a full-time writer/speaker, (and prayerfully, not welfare recipient). We closed the service with this song I wrote several years ago. (It's also very appropriate for Memorial Day.)

Seems like the sands of time catch the wind and fly,
We just get acquainted, then we have to say goodbye
But a new day's coming when time will be no more,
And we'll meet again at the journey's end on Heaven's golden shore

We add to one another's lives then go divided ways
But we have more than memories, we've changed from night to day
And a new day's coming when time will be no more,
And we'll share again at the journey's end on Heaven's golden shore

So we'll never have to say goodbye again
We'll never have to say goodbye again
So long, see ya later bye and bye,
We'll live together forever that's why
We'll never have to say goodbye again.

I was recently interviewed by Michael R. Smith, professor at Campbell University, for his latest book.

"New writers desire to break into the feature writing market, but many of them need practical ideas on executing a plan. This book guides them from the origin of the idea to suggestions for sources in the Internet age to strategies on developing the article."
